The origins of Purgatori are shrouded in the mists between history and myth. Legend has it that an Egyptian slave girl, Sakkara, became the lover of the beautiful Queen Nefertiti, who ultimately manipulated Sakkara into committing a crime against Egypt and attempted to imprison her. While on the run from the queen's soldiers, Sakkara's visage was mysteriously transformed into that of a winged demoness, a punishment (perhaps) meted by deity or deities unknown. After encountering the ancient vampire Rath, Sakkara became one of the undead, and Purgatori was born... thirsty for blood, revenge, and power!
